Join Mrs. Carina Wheat for hands on fun learning.  Each week the class will begin with an exciting Storytime activity.  The story will be followed by a creative craft related to the story.   • Suggested grades: K-3rd

LET'S LEARN THE UNITED STATES
FULL YEAR

Mrs. Lisa Heilenman with take our students on a trip through the United States of America.  Each week they will explore the fifty states! They will be using games, videos and arts and crafts to learn more about each state.   Fun, hands on geography class!  • Suggested grades: K-5th

SMART CLASS:  SCIENCE, MATH & ART FUN
1ST SEMESTER

Join Mrs. Heilenman in SMART CLASS (Fun with Science, Math and Art!) as she utilizes art to build amazing science and math skills.  Science will cover energy/motion, electricity/magnetism, living science, chemical reactions and color and light.  While for math the students will be doing math with fine artists, art with graphs and grids, numbers and equations, symmetry, geometric art, cultural math art and edible math art.   • Suggested grades: 2nd -5th

WRITESHOP JUNIOR (BOOK D)
1ST SEMESTER

Mrs. Lisa Heilenman will be teaching WriteShop Junior 1st semester.  WriteShop Junior equips children with specific tools they need to develop the ability to write effectively. Whether you have a more advanced child or one who is a slower learner, this program is flexible so students can work at their own level.

Book D will cover identifying and using proper grammar and punctuation, choosing strong words, brainstorming before writing, writing a paragraph, writing a short, researched - based article and self-editing and revising his/her work  .• Suggested grades: 3rd -5th

TIME TRAVELERS:  WORLD WAR II
1ST SEMESTER

Our American history studies are designed to create a hands-on learning experience that drives the lessons home in a fun way!  America in World War II, contains lessons covering over a decade and witnessing changes in American history as it entered another world war! Topics include: the rise of Hitler and the Nazi Regime, German/Italian/Japanese occupations, conflicts and battles between the Axis and Allies, the American home front, the Holocaust, VE and VJ Days, and events immediately following the war!
